FACULTY PROFILE, ADEQUACY AND COMPETENCY OF FACULTY:-

The Department of Physics was established in the academic year 1992-93 in Government Degree College, Tadipatri to offer physics course to MPC and MPCs students. B. Sc (Computer Science) Established in the academic Year 2002-03

At present the Department running by the following Teaching faculty.

  • Sri. V. Thimma Reddy, M.Sc, M.Phil.  Assistant Professor   Head of the Dept. of Physics, from 02 June 2017 onwards.
  • Sri. S. Madhu Babu, M.Sc,   Assistant Professor   in Physics, from 15 Sep 2015 onwards.

Ever since establishment of the Department, Teaching Staff have been engaged with their well experience and Academic excellence. Apart from Teaching they also take active participation in Literary and Cultural programs being conducted time to time in the College.

CURRICULAR ASPECTS:-

In this College PHYSICS subject taught for B.Sc, MPC, MPCs students. The Department of Physics has been following the common core syllabus introduced by APSHE every year. The Faculty of the Department strictly follows the Academic Schedule as per the Almanac of the Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu (Dt).

ANNUAL ACADEMIC  PLAN:-

     The Department prepares Annual Academic Plan in the beginning of every Academic year to have systematic approach.

CLASS ROOM ACTIVITES:-

To strengthen the knowledge of the students the faculty conducts chapter wise test, class room seminars, and assignments on the subjects and group discussion. Based on their performance suggestions will be given to them to overcome the short falls.

GUEST LECTURE:-

Guest Lectures are arranged for the benefit of the Students.

ANNUAL RESULTS:-

In order to make the students realize their performance in the University Examinations marks Registers are prepared. The statics of the results are kept available in the Department for the students.

MODEL PAPERS:-

The Department is maintaining the Old Question Papers of Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapuramu for ready reference of the model of question papers and practise.

STUDENT SUPPORT AND PROGRESSION:-

The Department conducts Seminars, Quiz, Essay Writings and Elocution Completions and encourages the students to participate for competitions. Extension lectures are conducted for the benefit of the students. The faculty also attends seminars, workshops conducted within the college and outside the college.

Best Practices of the Department:-

  • Distribution of Text books and material to students by the self contribution of faculty members
  • As an initiative towards Nation Building, instilling better civic sense among the students is perceived as an area of priority and hence efforts are taken to initiate a mandatory Celebration and participating the Students in national and International days of importance related to Plant sciences and Environment
  • Distribution of Eco Ganapathi and awareness of  Eco Deepavali
  • Contribution of self finance from the other sources earned by the faculty members towards the departmental development
  • Green Audit, Energy conservation with CFL and LED bulbs are some of the measures to develop the eco- consciousness of the college community
  • Recognition of the students and awards them with a certificate of recognition for exemplary expression of some of the intangible and unique attributes.
